GEA Albro is the newest acquisition of GEA Process Engineering, purchased in late 2008. Formerly known as ADG Packaging (supplying the Albro, Dico and Gravfil product ranges), the company is a merger of three of the longest established UK packaging machinery manufacturing companies in the world with over 200 years combined history of supplying world class filling and closing solutions.
Albro was founded 1922 and is a market leader in the manufacture and supply of powder filling systems. Dico was founded in 1945, and was a market leader in the manufacture and supply of capping, closing and associated sorting systems. Gravfil, founded in 1929, was a market leader in the manufacture and supply of liquid filling systems.
GEA Albro is a leading supplier of powder packaging solutions for the dairy and coffee industries as well as other markets. It currently has a turnover of approximately 5 million Euro and around 30 employees.
For many years, GEA Albro has been a world leader in vacuum filling equipment and has an impressive customer base with more than 2,000 filling machines installed.
