GEA Process Engineering is a main supplier of complete
lines and unit operations for the world’s environmental protection industry. We
have special expertise within the following markets:
We emphasize that GEA Process Engineering supplies the process plant,
equipment and other solutions for manufacturing of powder and liquids, but we
do not supply the products mentioned on these pages.

- Pollution control
- Waste processing
Waste Water Treatment
GEA
Filtration is a world leader in cross-flow membrane filtration,
with reverse osmosis and nano-, ultra-, and microfiltration as core
technologies. For the treatment of industrial waste water, we design filtration
systems on the basis of a detailed analysis of the actual situation to ensure
efficient recovery of water for reuse.
Waste Stream Upgrading
GEA
Kestner's experience covers applications in many industrial
sectors. In addition to volume reduction units we offer tailor made solutions
for the recovery of valuable chemicals. Another area of expertise is the
processing of highly corrosive waste streams such as hydrogen chloride, brines,
and sulphuric acid.
DDGS
GEA
Barr-Rosin´s Superheated Steam Ring dryer (SSD)
uses pressurized superheated steam for drying wood by-products, ethanol still
age, corn fibers, corn gluten, bagasse and oil seeds from biofuel production.
The system provides excellent heat recovery and minimal atmospheric emissions;
beneficial for the environment in all aspects.
Air Pollution Control
The GEA
Niro spray absorption process is ideal for desulphurization
and removal of toxic components from exhaust gases. This unique and proven
technology is used at more than 130 locations world-wide; primarily at
coal-fired power generating stations, industrial boilers, and municipal waste
incinerators.
GEA Bischoff is a global company active in the field
of environmental protection. Using a broad range of technology, GEA Bischoff
designs and builds gas cleaning plants for clean air.
Gas Scrubber
Jet and venturi gas scrubbers from GEA Wiegand are individually designed
and reach a high percentage of purity and efficiency. The capacities range from
0.05 m³/hr up to 100,000 m³/hr of gas flow at gas temperatures of more than
1,300 °C. The gas scrubbers are particularly suited for explosive gas mixtures,
highly corrosive gases and gases containing large amounts of dust.
