GEA Niro has developed the RAYCON™ freeze drying concept for drying of large
amounts of products from the pharmaceutical industry such as granulates and
pellets to meet the requirements of a fully automatic process. The plant is
primarily suitable for oral pharmaceutical products. The capacities of RAYCON™
applications vary from 25 up to 1,000 kg of bulk supplement, which correspond
5-10 traditional freeze drying plants.
All parts of the drying process
are running fully automatic without human interventions except adjustment and
verifying of operation parameters from the control system. The automated
process minimizes the risk of contamination of the product and reduces the
production costs. The RAYCON™ is a highly sanitary version of the typical
capacity industrial freeze dryers being used for food and coffee products,
lactic bacteria etc. based on GEA Niro Atlas RAY™ and CONRAD™ freeze drying
principles.
RAYCON™ is the best solution for
production of large amounts of raw materials for bulk that do not require the
highest level of validation. With RAYCON™ you can follow the batch and track
the production site of each single pill. The dryer but comes with a full set of
documentation and certificated for components and materials used in the
equipment and with component declarations according to the relevant CE
directives. It is also possible to adjust RAYCON™ to the production needs of
each customer.
